One more thing, if your sister does tell the elders and they attempt to do anything other than let it go, I would have a lawyer send all the elders "Individually" a letter that indicated that they will be held personally accountable in a financial way and held personally accountable for the abuse of this elderly person and the emotional trauma he has experienced. When these cowards see that they could serve some time behind bars this crap seems to stop.

Your Father lives because of the personal and private decision he made and now he has to deal with his daughter ratting him out to elders?!. So now, this becomes a congregation's body of elders decision whether he should have really lived or died and then impose that verdict on him...basically, "well, you may have preserved your life, but, we are going to give you hell about it."
I'm going to say something really profound! I let you know when I am going to say something really profound so that you will know and will say to yourselves, "this is profound". I would immediately contact a lawyer and the police for Elderly harassment, bullying, endangerment, and abuse, etc. He made a private decision and this should be covered by HIPPA Laws. This is what just chaps my buttox, is that the Congregations or their members (your Sister) even feel that have this kind of authority. Does your Sister have anything financially to gain in this? Just Asking.

So, they spent a considerable amount of time on the scriptural proof of these ideas or beliefs.

2 Gallons of Coffee
by Solzhenitsyn inthat is how much coffee me and another elder went through as we camped out all night until 7 a.m. outside the home where suspected jw fornicators we're staying.
little did i know what a powerful contrast that would prove to be when as an elder i was faced with another case involving the allegation of severe child sexual abuse.
we disfellowshipped the couple based completely on circumstantial evidence of sexual wrongdoing because they simply "stayed the entire night".

So, you admit to stalking. I believe an order of protection is appropriate.

Zeb, thank you for this information, I was thinking about this self-doubt, self-hate, and guilt that WT drums into its followers. I've been out for a decade but I have suffered from depression since I was 10-11 years old. Recently, I was meditating on advancements I've personally made in my thinking regarding the JW indoctrination from youth and how I have successfully deprogrammed. I'm nearly sixty and have finally realized I'm a pretty good guy and I have my act together.

As I heard some of these expressions currently being discussed at the last conventions I attended, 10+ years ago, I would look down at my Bible/note pad, and with as straight of a poker face, I would look around in disbelief of the people nodding their heads, excitedly making more notes, etc.
I would eventually make eye contact with my wife, and she could read me like a book. My "Poker Face" was not a quality one at all. I just cannot imagine sitting through any part of this charade now. I've got really important things to do.....Well, Gilligans Island and Seinfeld reruns are on and I wouldn't want to miss them.

Comedian George Carlin said about God,
Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!
But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money!George Carlin -

Our congregation will be deleted
by Rattigan350 inlast night was the co's visit.
prior to his part, an elder had a part on following theocratic direction.
it was about our congregation being deleted (there are 2 sharing this hall) and the people and territory being divided up to the 4 other surrounding ones.. they say it is not about numbers but about making best use of resources.

In Real estate jargon, when a piece of property is hot, people are "flipping" the property from one owner to the next, you go to a closing and there are numerous people stand at a table ready to sign the paperwork. At the end of the table, there is the last buyer of the property and there is no one to sell it too at the high price. This last owner is called "The Last Fool"! So, in Dub land who will be the last fools?

"Are natural disasters a sign of the times?" -- Yes, says WT
by FatFreek 2005 inyes, bible prophecies suggest that there would be disasters during “the conclusion of the system of things,” or “the last days.” (matthew 24:3; 2 timothy 3:1) for example, concerning our time, jesus said: “there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another.” (matthew 24:7).
that from their website this morning.. i see how they've morphed (by interpretation) food shortages and earthquakes into virtually all bad happenings today.. i'll bet if the "blue bonnet" (one elder's fractured pronunciation of bubonic during a public talk, using it not once but three times) plague, one of which happened nearly 700 years ago -- was going on today, it would be a sign of the times.
after all, it "caused the death of 60% of the population of europe".. no natural devastation like that seen since..

35+ years ago, I was freshly out of High School and the discussion came up about an increase in earthquakes equating to the "Time of the End". It was just a High School Education and having the ownership and possession of a National Geographic Atlas of Maps that included a map of the Ring of Fire, maps of the earths' plates, and areas of high plate shift and regions of high expectation of earth quakes. There was a major earth quake and Brother "Has too much Faith in the Governing Body" mentioned this as a precursor of the Great Tribulation. I said, Brother "Bama Much Faith", this is a region prone to earth quakes because they are located on top of a plate. I further mentioned there were about 5000 earthquakes a year. He debated with me about how many EQ's there were and I humbly remained silent.
About a year later, the explanation from the WTBTS was that earthquakes would be effecting more persons than ever in history not necessarily increasing in numbers. Which is a safe bet. Just thought this was interesting.

Love Among Yourselves?
by Lost in the fog inyou have to wonder why a congregation which claims to have love among itself would not do something to help this poor off member of the congregation.
oh wait a minute, they preached to him, got him in, so now he's on his own - just like all the rest of them!

Shirley, you mention Trump comparing him to this CO. There are many examples of Trump showing more "love" than I've ever seen in the JW religion group. Observing desolate congregations with an overwhelming Lack of love in the congregation/organization, especially in my family was a wake up call. However, Mom did take me and siblings and then grand children to Mow the lawns of sisters/brothers who were elderly and were not physically able, she would co-sign sisters hospital bills and end up paying for it monthly because the sister's husband had no means to. I don't think Dad ever knew how many people he was supporting. Dad loans brothers money also. One brother before he died sent a letter to Dad with a check for x amount, and said thank you for helping me out when I would down and out. Dad tore up the check and never cashed it. He called the Brother up and they talked some, latter when they met again in person they hugged in a manly fashion. I remember an occasion where Dad had asked me if he should load x amount of dollars to a Brother. I replied yes, but do not expect him to ever replay you. He did loan the money and never was repaid. I believe this is a valid subject, however, there are many witnesses that will privately assists needy ones. I would give the Organization and Congregations as a whole, an F grade. However, I believe privately the brothers do step up and assist. Not always, but just some things that I have noticed.
